What is a Tsunami?

A Tsunami is a huge tidal wave caused by  earthquakes or disasters underwater. Tsunamis can kill people because they can speed across the ocean at more than 400 mph.

A flood is when water overflows onto land. Floods are formed by big rain storms, also when mud and leaves clog up drains in the street.

FLOOD

This is a picture of a very big wave. It almost looks like a tsunami but it’s not. Tsunamis are much bigger.  People can NOT surf a Tsunami. It’s way too dangerous so do not try it!

Floods are also very dangerous. If there is a flood in your town, don’t try to swim in it! It has stuff from people’s houses that may be dangerous. Remember to take my advice!

This is a picture of  Niagara Falls at night. You can find it in Canada. It’s a beautiful sight to see. When the lights are on at night, it’s absolutely amazing!

This is a picture of  Horseshoe Falls. It’s called Horseshoe Falls because of its shape.

This is a picture of Niagara Falls in the day time. It’s April at the time here so there is still snow in the water that was built up in the winter.
